On August 13, 2010, Amnesty International Swiss has published a strong statement that calls for the end to the use of organs from executed prisoners. Amnesty International states that prisoners cannot provide meaningful consent in donating their organs for transplantation after execution. Amnesty International furthermore calls upon pharmaceutical companies to stop clinical trials in countries that use organs from executed prisoners.
