CCP Propaganda Persists Despite Ongoing Evidence to Contrary
The Red Cross Society of China was recently quoted by the state-run Global Times that China now tops all of Asia, not only in transplant surgery numbers, but also in voluntary organ donations as well, claiming over 420,000 registered donors. Just one month later, Xinhua said only 300,000 people have signed up to become organ donors. Both party media mouthpieces repeat the claim that all vital organs donated nationwide since January 2015 have come from voluntary donors, not executed prisoners. An example of organ donor altruism and purported efficiency of China’s fledgling organ procurement, allocation and distribution system received special media attention.
Unfortunately, foreign news media continue to parrot Chinese media claims, regurgitating negative comments about Falun Gong and denying the veracity of the evidence for forced live organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience. International transplant professionals continue to be misled by the Chinese claims of transplant reforms.
It is time for those who have aligned themselves with the Chinese mode of transplantation to accept the reality of China’s ongoing harvesting of organs from non-consenting prisoners. Those who continue to deny this reality are culpable as accessories to genocide.
