Implausible Medical Examinations of Falun Gong Forced Labor Camp Workers Abstract

Abstract

This study represents the preliminary analysis of a pilot research by DAFOH on the incidence of implausible medical testing on detained prisoners of conscience in China.

The pilot research described has been conducted by DAFOH staff. A cohort of thousands of prison camp survivor’s first hand accounts was accessed via the Chinese news site minghui.org. The preliminary analysis presented in this study refers to a segment of the survivors and to the partial data available owing to the limited public information available from the Chinese government. In past years, no in-depth research including both a qualitative and a quantitative methodology has been carried out to investigate the situation of forced medical testing of prisoners in China’s labor camps.

In the conclusion, results are discussed and recommendations for further investigation are suggested.
