In reply to publications by Drs Shi Bing-Yi and Chen Li-Peng, the authors of a previous letter to JAMA, Dr. T. Trey et al., have drafted a response that addresses issues in the transplant environment in China. In particular the lacking of transparency and traceability, principles requested by the WHO, contribute to open questions about the Chinese transplant system.
